Understanding Deductible Gift Recipients (DGR) & Australian Charities
Deductible Gift Recipients (DGRs) are non-profit organisations, charities, and funds endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) or named in Australian tax legislation to receive tax-deductible gifts and contributions. When donors make financial gifts or donations to a DGR-endorsed charity, they may claim a tax deduction on their income tax return.
